There’s a lot going on!
It has been a busy summer for the NOVUS scheme, with more than 40 first year students taking part in paid work experience during the summer break with companies including Muller, Arla, Nestle, Sainsbury’s, Wincanton, Morrisons, XPO Logistics, Hoyer and Howdens Joinery. Students have been gaining valuable insight into supply chain operations and first hand experience of working within organisations to support them in their second year studies. Meanwhile our third year group have been starting their industrial placements working with scheme members such as ASOS, M&S, CEVA, Cummins, Clipper, Travis Perkins and DHL. We have even had our first set of graduates – all now starting their careers with leading companies.
The Autumn term will see us welcoming new students in to the first year, our second year returning after work experience and our final year coming back to University after their placement year. There will be an action packed schedule of field trips, site visits, guest lectures and company projects over the term and we’ll be regularly adding news stories on these pages as the term develops.
