The innovative NOVUS scheme is the proud winner of three major industry awards
The run of success means that in the first three years, NOVUS was established as a major factor in developing the next generation of supply chain professionals.
First came a prize for the Supply Chain Innovation Project of the Year at the 2014 Retail Week Supply Chain awards.
Just a week later, NOVUS won the Development of People prize, sponsored by Syncreon, at the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) Annual Awards for Excellence.
In November 2015, the NOVUS team were announced as the proud recipients of the PwC European Supply Chain Excellence award for excellence in Training and Professional Development.
“The awards play to the strengths of the scheme,” said David Leach, NOVUS Programme Director at the University of Huddersfield. “The first reflects the innovative nature of NOVUS and the fact that it is a collaborative project right across the industry. The CILT and Supply Chain Excellence awards cuts right to the heart of the purpose of the scheme, which is to develop the next generation of supply chain leaders – identifying them, training them and developing them.”
Most recently, NOVUS has been shortlisted for the Talent in Logistics awards 2017. The awards recognise and celebrate the skills and hard work of people in the logistics industry – from apprentices to LGV drivers and from trainers and HR managers to logistics managers. The results will be shared on 22nd June 2017!
In 2017, David Leach was proud to receive the University of Huddersfield award for 'Enhancing the Student Experience', in recognition of the unique work he does to enrich the learning experience and opportunities available to students at the University.
